TRAJECTORY CONFIRMED:

ATMOS MILESTONE

REPORT 2024

2024: A Year of Measurable Progress

Company Update

At the beginning of the year we sat down to compile a short summary of the last 12 months at ATMOS for you.

We began the year by extending our Seed funding round by 1.3 million Euros and started the design and construction of our PHOENIX return capsule.

In the months that followed, we conducted a series of tests to validate the design and integrity of the PHOENIX I prototype and our Inflatable Heat Shield.

(Overview of select 2024 mission milestones)

Here is a short list of only key tests we conducted:

– Full-scale Atmospheric Drop Tests
Verified the aerodynamic stability, functional system design, structural resilience, mission operations and teamwork under real-world conditions.

– Plasma Wind Tunnel
Tested materials and design against the extreme heat and pressure loads experienced during atmospheric re-entry.

– Thermal Vacuum
Validated the integrity and performance of the capsule and its components under high vacuum and severe temperature variations, as they occur in space.

– Electromagnetic Compatibility
Ensured our system functions flawlessly within a specified electromagnetic environment without causing or being affected by disturbances (such as those encountered during orbital flight).

– Mechanical Vibration
Verified that PHOENIX can withstand the extreme stresses of a rocket launch by subjecting it to intense mechanical loads, simulating the conditions of a launch into orbit. All attachments, fasteners, and other elements remained securely in place throughout the test.

We will soon release a detailed report on the test results for PHOENIX 1.

I would like to use this opportunity to highlight the extraordinary work of our team – designing and testing a prototype partially based on entirely new technology in such a short time is a remarkable achievement. Bravo, Team ATMOS!

ATMOS Business Milestones

On the business front, we proudly joined the ICARUS consortium led by DEIMOS, to develop an Inflatable Heat Shield for returning entire rocket stages from space.

We also closed a major 7-mission deal with Space Cargo Unlimited to fly payloads into orbit and return them to Earth between 2025 and 2027.

To top it all off, we welcomed former NASA Deputy Administrator Lori Garver to the ATMOS advisory board. Lori spearheaded NASA’s strategic shift toward commercial partnerships, paving the way for innovations like SpaceX’s Falcon 9 and Dragon programs.

Growing ATMOS Team and Public Recognition

ATMOS grew to a team of 50 highly skilled and motivated members, making these achievements—and more—possible. We were also honored by visits and features from delegations of public figures, journalists, and TV crews, reflecting growing interest in ATMOS and our operations in Lichtenau.

Looking Ahead: Mission 2025

With a full and successful year behind us, we look ahead with confidence and determination to revolutionize return logistics in space. While all necessary tests for PHOENIX 1 have been successfully concluded, our team has begun its design update and early development of our PHOENIX 2 capsule already in 2024.

Our work continues to expand the possibilities for practical applications that improve life on Earth for all.

Ad Astra 2025!
