Journey

EXPLORING RE-ENTRY SITES

We traveled 1400km west of Lisbon to Santa Maria in the Azores archipelago to explore a possible re-entry landing site for our Phoenix space capsule in the Atlantic Ocean in November 2024. Our CEO Sebastian Klaus met with Ricardo Conde from Agência Espacial Portuguesa | Portugal Space to learn more about the available logistics for our first orbital return mission next year.

The island of Santa Maria provides ideal conditions ranging from air control for tracking and logistic infrastructure to airplane and navy support – all of which contribute to the safety of our mission 👩‍🚀
